A popular form of casual game is the simulation. These types of games mimic a real life situation such as a theme park, a home or even a fish tank. Fish Tycoon is a great fish and aquarium simulator.
It is published by Last Day of Work.
In Fish Tycoon, you get to breed, sell and care for fish. You start with a fish tank, a few baby fish and a small amount of money. Your ultimate goal is to breed seven magic fish.
Achieving this goal is one of the main reason this game is so much fun and has become so popular. You get a few tips in the beginning to get you started, such as feeding and dropping fish eggs in the tank.
In the beginning, you will feed and breed some fish. There is a small holding tank to breed the fish and there are hundreds of fish combinations available including those seven elusive magic fish.
There is fish food, growth hormone to speed growth and vitamins. The game also offers several fish medicines to keep your precious delicate rare fish healthy.
The fish will also stay healthier if you provide cleaning snails, fungal treatment and aeration systems for your tank. All of these items can be bought at the fish supply store with money made from selling your breeds of fish.
The harder to create breeds are worth more money. One of the most important items at the fish store is fish eggs. There are common and rare types.
Of course the rarer types cost more money, but these rare types will yield rare fish that are worth more money in return.
As the game progresses, you can do research on the environment to help rare fish survive and technologies to improve the fish food and chemical cleaning systems to keep fish healthy.
You can even advertise your own fish store to attract more customers to buy your fish. There are multiple items to place in the tank including a diver, plants, rocks and other decorations.
As you make more money and sell and breed more fish, you can obtain a second fish tank to breed even more fish.
When the game is exited and started again, even if you shut your system down, the game will log the exit and start times and run a super fast algorithm to catch up to the current time.
This in essence keeps the game 'running' at all times even when it isn't. Another nice feature is the fish database which can be accessed when a fish is clicked on.
Fish Tycoon also offers a screen saver to display your fish when your computer is not in use. The game can be paused, so you won't come back to a tank full of dead fish several days later.
You would best not forgot to use this valuable function if you plan to be away from the game for a while.
Fish Tycoon is best for a game player that is used to slower paced games. You will need more than ten minutes of play time to accomplish most goals. Many research items actually take a few hours to finish.
This may best be done before bed or before your favorite television program.
If you enjoy slower paced simulation casual games and love fish as pets then you need to try Fish Tycoon.
